Meggie is a well educated woman who graduated from the Department of Business Administration at the University of Technology on Beijing with a Bachelor degree. She became the manager of the Shenzhen branch of the Automation Company of the Chinese Academy of Science before moving to the University of Texas where she completed a Master degree of computer science.

Meggie moved to Australia in 2003 to become the regional manager of Tudor Hill International Hotel in Melbourne, and then returned to the USA, as a customs service manager for Tiya Power Equipment in Maryland.

She is now back in Australia where she has been as a care worker for many communities and joined the Australian National Chinese Women's Federation (ANCWF) as Office Director.
